I got this forwarded e-mail from my older brother. The title is Laymen's Ten Commandments.
1] Prayer is not a "spare wheel" that you pull out when in trouble, but it is a "steering wheel" that directs the right path throughout.
2] So a Car's WINDSHIELD is so large & the Rear view Mirror is so small? Because our PAST is not as important as our FUTURE. So, Look Ahead and Move on.
To be honest I don’t like analyses like this. I’m sure the windshield and rear view mirror are sized for practical reasons. Come on.
3] Friendship is like a BOOK. It takes few seconds to burn, but it takes years to write.
Hmmm. I can’t say I agree. A person becomes a friend because you have come to share something that makes the relationship special. There are differences which you may or may not accept, and there could be misunderstandings and disagreements, but if you really are friends, I’m sure you’ll find ways to patch things up.
4] All things in life are temporary. If it goes well, enjoy it, they will not last forever. If it goes wrong, don't worry, they can't last long either.
5] Old Friends are Gold! New Friends are Diamond! If you get a Diamond, don't forget the Gold! Because to hold a Diamond, you always need a Base of Gold!
I think this sucks. Lol. The value of a friend is not simply measured by the length of time you’ve known them.
6] Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, GOD smiles from above and says, "Relax, sweetheart, it's just a bend, not the end!
7] When GOD solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities; when GOD doesn't solve your problems HE has faith in your abilities.
Which tells me I have more faith in God’s abilities, than Him in mine. kekekeke ^^
8] A blind person asked GOD: "Can there be anything worse than losing eye sight?" He replied: "Yes, losing your vision!"
9] When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them, and sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you.
So, yeah, I, normally, would have scanned the first few rules and moved on to the next mail, but I actually read all of it, and I’m glad I made it to this. ^^ This really struck me coz I have been worrying about my younger bro the past days esp when he comes home very late. I always tell myself to one day sit him down and ask him if he really needed to be out there so late but I never got to. I’m not really ate material. Anyway, I told myself that when happens I should scold him and tell him that he should be thankful there are people praying for his safety.
Seriously, this is the only reason why this e-mail should be forwarded because sometimes when we’re too sure of ourselves and our capabilities, we need to be reminded that it’s not only through our own doing, but by others’ prayers and God’s grace that we are what and where we are. Unless if you’re actually not feeling happy and blessed, in which case maybe you need to reassess and ask yourself if you’ve got people caring for you. kekeke ^^ I’m pretty sure I have lots. ^^
10] WORRYING does not take away tomorrow's TROUBLES, it takes away today's PEACE.
“Winners wear the crown, Losers wear a frown.” sounds much better. ^^
I don’t know who wrote this but there are much better rules to live by than some written here, like Cleanliness is Next to Godliness, and Don’t Do Unto Others What You Don’t Want Others to Do Unto You.
Reklamador kaayo ka Jan! Ha ha ha! Maghimo tag ato unya kita say magforward then before we know it, naa say magblog. Ha ha ha!
